Dogs are more athletic than most of us, but the amount and type of exercise needed depends on their size, breed and individual needs.
Most dogs benefit from daily exercise (an activity that makes them pant, like fetching, tugging, running and swimming), as well as at least one half-hour walk.
Choose activities that suit your dog’s individual dognality (personality) and natural interests.
Experiment with the ideas below to see what’s most practical and enjoyable for them and for you.
There are many exercises and games to play with your dogs as sample below:
・Walk at least 20–30 minutes
・Fetch with a ball, sticks or Frisbee
・Skateboarding with dogs on leashes
・Classes: obedience, agility, K9 nose work
(these focus on encouraging and developing your dog’s natural scenting abilities by channeling their
desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise)
・Canine Good Citizen class
(with CGC certification, you can volunteer with your dog at a senior home or children’s hospital)
・Shopping/errands (pet stores, clothes shopping, etc.)

Here are action photos of Kula, Bubu and Happy at Manzanita Lake in North Fork, California.
Kula is 12 years old, but she is still very active. Bubu is 5 years old and very active boy and
Happy is very gentle soul girl as you can see how she jumps.
